World Blockchain Foundation (WBF) was founded in year 2016 and is a legal entity registered under the Society’s Act 1966 by the Government of Malaysia, allowing it to register members, accept donations and operate in public interests in relation to blockchain technology. Our mission is to support and coordinate the efforts of the blockchain community by helping to create greater awareness of the benefits of the blockchain technology through a concerted effort in educational and awareness campaigns to promote the use of blockchain technology and its related technological requirements for enthusiasts, developers, regulators, technologists, practitioners and users globally.

WBF is proud that its continuous efforts in creating waves in the blockchain community have gained both domestic and international recognition. The World Blockchain Foundation and the Bitcoin World Tour were awarded two prestigious BrandLaurette World’s BestBrandsAward for IT respectively at the BrandLaureate BestBrandsAwards 2016-2017 Gala Dinner held at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The BrandLaureate World’s BestBrandsAward is a special award that celebrates the efforts of individuals and organisations that are exceptional in creating a high level of brand awareness at the global stage.
