World Blockchain Foundation (WBF) was founded in 2016 and is a legal entity registered under the Society’s Act 1966 by the Government of Malaysia. This status allows it to register members, accept donations, and operate in the public interest regarding blockchain technology.
Our mission is to support and coordinate the efforts of the blockchain community by raising awareness of blockchain’s benefits. We achieve this through educational initiatives and awareness campaigns that promote the use of blockchain technology and its related requirements—targeting enthusiasts, developers, regulators, technologists, practitioners, and users globally.
WBF’s ongoing efforts in energizing the blockchain community have earned both domestic and international recognition. Notably, the World Blockchain Foundation and the Bitcoin World Tour were honored with two prestigious BrandLaureate World’s BestBrands Awards for IT at the BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards 2016–2017 Gala Dinner held at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. These awards recognize outstanding contributions in building brand awareness on a global scale.
